Brass & Aluminium
The 40mm solid brass wheel forms the heart of our precision cutting system. Machined from round brass bar stock, each wheel is hand-profiled and lapped to ensure perfect edge geometry and consistent cutting performance.
The arm is machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium, an alloy favored in aerospace applications for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. After hand-finishing, it's anodized to create a hard, wear-resistant surface that protects against corrosion while providing a stable, lightweight structure.
Hardwood & Bearings
Our handles are turned from carefully selected hardwoods, chosen for their density, grain structure, and natural beauty. Each handle is finished by hand, ensuring the wood's character is preserved rather than concealed. For the Pro range, handles receive multiple applications of cured linseed oil over a four-week process.
At the core of smooth operation are ABEC-5 rated ball bearings, hand-pressed into each brass wheel. This precision rating ensures minimal play, consistent rotation, and extended service life. The bearings are sealed to prevent contamination and maintain smooth operation even in demanding kitchen environments.
